Super Troopers with Laya Healthcare is a programme which encourages children and their families to live happier and more active lifestyles. Through short burst, fun daily activities around physical activity, wellbeing and nutrition, this programme helps to promote healthy minds and bodies.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Germ Busting

This month in homes all across Ireland, families are being invited to take part in the Super Troopers STay at Home series. Here at Super Troopers with Laya Healthcare, we are doing all that we can to ensure that you are keeping active and healthy while spending time at home with your families.

That’s why we have come up with the fun idea to give you a live health homework lesson from one of our very own Super Troopers - Tom, so that everyone at home can get involved and stay active in body and mind! Tom will be doing demonstrations of everything from Yoga breathing exercises and mindfulness to games, cardio movements and lots more. He will even discuss healthy snacks so your kids will know all the best ways to get their dose of healthy nutrition regularly!

Activity of the Week

Play Bounce Box indoors or outside! How many points can you get?

Play this game on your own or with a friend. You will need a ball and 2 empty boxes. Mark a starting line. Place the first box two giant steps away from the line. Place the second box three giant steps away from the line. From the starting line aim to throw the ball into one of the boxes. Every time the ball lands in the first box, you get 5 points. If you reach the second box, you get 10 points. How many points can you get? Try it with the boxes placed even farther out! Try alternating between underarm and overarm throwing.

Why should you get involved?

Children participating in Super Troopers with Laya Healthcare will receive a Health Homework Journal, which includes activities taking 10 to 15 minutes to do as part of their homework each evening.
